CALCOUGH® Children's Syrup is a non-drowsy, blackcurrant flavoured cough liquid to help gently relieve dry, tickly coughs and sore throats.

Ingredients

Active Ingredients: Glycerol 0.75ml/5ml and Sucrose 1.7g/5ml Other Ingredients: Contains Citric acid monohydrate, Sodium benzoate E211, Anthocyanin, Blackcurrant Flavour 1740.7107 IFF (containing benzyl alcohol and propylene glycol (E1520)), Blackcurrant Juice 1740.1436 IFF (containing benzyl alcohol and propylene glycol (E1520)), Liquid Glucose, Purified Water.

Directions for use

For oral use only. Do not give more medicine than the carton (and/or label) tells you to. Dose: Children 1-5 years: Give one 5 ml spoonful Children 5 years and over and adults including the elderly: Give two 5 ml spoonfuls Give the dose 3 or 4 times within 24 hours, if needed. If your child does not feel better or starts to feel worse, tell your doctor or pharmacist. Do not give to children under 1 year old. If you forget a dose, give the NEXT dose when needed. Do not give a double dose. Calcough children's syrup is a non-drowsy cough syrup which relieves dry coughs, tickly coughs and sore throat.

TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST If your child has an intolerance to some sugars. You can take this medicine if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. If anyone has taken too much of this product, contact a doctor or your nearest Accident & Emergency Department (Casualty), taking this pack with you. This product contains 2.15 g glucose and 1.7 g sucrose in each 5 ml, which may be harmful to the teeth. If you have been told by a doctor that your child has an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before using this medicine. This should be taken into account in patients with diabetes. This medicine contains 0.000053mg benzyl alcohol in each 5ml which is equivalent to 0.000011mg/ml. Benzyl alcohol may cause allergic reactions. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice if you are pregnant or breast-feeding or if you have a liver or kidney disease. Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
